There are some rules to encourage children to eat healthy food. All you have to do is eat meals together as a family as often as possible, and in your table let it be full of fruits and vegetable choices.
Involve your children in food shopping and preparing meals.
These activities will give you hints about your children’s food preferences, an opportunity to teach your children about nutrition, and provide your kids with a feeling of accomplishment. In addition, children may be more willing to eat or try foods that they help prepare.
If mealtimes are unpleasant because children can do that to you, they may try to eat faster to leave the table as soon as possible. All you have to do is to get involved and don’t let them run from you. Don’t give up if they are difficult.
Children may learn to associate eating with stress, so you have to be nice and patient to them and tell them a short story about how strong and healthy can be when they grow up . Children like to hear that.
Make healthy snacks available, with fruits taste and vitamins. Encourage your children to drink more water, lemonade and fruits juice but always offer them to many choices and from those choices give them freedom of choice.
Be a role model teaching them a healthy eating habits early.
